I LOVE doing photo diaries, it's such a lovely way to look back on the trip and hopefully inspire you to visit too. My boyfriend and I visited Dublin from the 2nd - 5th January. What a perfect start to the year it was. I love visiting places in the new year, it just seems like you miss out all the hustle and bustle but the festivities are still there. Everyone is in a good mood and of course.. ready to party. We absolutely loved the atmosphere in Dublin, especially at the nights. The pub atmosphere is where it's at. Live music, a bit glass of (expensive) wine and you have yourself a wonderful evening. Fill the days with lots of great, affordable food and coffee and it is the perfect weekend getaway. I would recommended it for all you couples looking for a quick weekend trip.
I thought i'd share some of my favourite photo's with you. It's always nice to see somebody else's pictures - in my opinion. I just wish the sun would have made an appearance to make my photo's that much nicer...

There's so many cool, hip (did i really just say that!), fancy, cheap, nice food places to try in Amsterdam. I am definitely a foodie and that's the first thing i'll want to try whenever I visit a place. I want to try it all. I definitely felt like a weekend in Amsterdam wasn't enough. I didn't even get to try the infamous Febo (vending machine style fast-food) because i was SO full the whole time. Oh well. Maybe next time eh.

So if you don't know i ended up on a rather impromptu trip to Paphos, Cyprus (not complaining btw). It was rather rushed, i came home from working at university for 3 weeks and left for Cyprus the very next day. Luckily i could just switch my makeup from one suitcase to the other, pack a few bikinis and some suncream, wash a few nickers and i was ready to go. The joys of a beach holiday right.

Amsterdam has SO much to do (as i found out after a quick google search) and we definitely had a packed full 3 days. We set off Saturday morning, arriving in Amsterdam around 10am after a super quick train ride from the Airport to Central station. We left to come home at 6pm Monday night and enjoyed a Leon at the airport.

I have never walked so much in life! 36000 steps every day! Yes every day. You could get a transport pass but personally we found walking was a) cheaper and b) you got to see EVERYTHING! We'd seen so much just by walking through centrum on the way to the hotel. We got the IAmsterdam map which has all the key photo-spots and attractions on.
